Short Term Mission Trips
Join us for a week of serving our community! Whether you're sorting in the Trade Store, helping with a day camp, or working on a home renovation, there is a job for everyone.

What to Expect?
Your week starts with a tour of the Grace Covenant Ministries Campus, led by our Director, Chad Demers. You'll learn a bit about our history, the vision for campus, as well as the projects you'll work on that week. Each day, your group will eat breakfast together, pack a sack lunch, and go out to your work site. Then, you'll come back to campus for dinner and a re-cap of your day, and enjoy some much needed down time.

Why Jackson County Ministries?
Jackson County Ministries/ Grace Covenant Ministries exists to serve the community and local area by being the hands and feet of Christ with the goal of giving them “strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow.” We do this by helping to meet their physical needs all with the goal of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them. We know that we can show our love for them by assisting with their physical needs, but that is temporary. If we can share the good news of the Gospel with them we can make an eternal difference. We need your help! The harvest is plentiful!

Frequently Asked Questions
Where will we stay?
We desire to provide accommodations that are clean and comfortable. We have a couple of
options when it comes to where you will stay while you are here with us.
First, we have a Guest House with six bedrooms. This house will sleep 18 plus there are two
couches and a living area in the basement with space for an air mattress. We have had up to
20 in the Guest House. There are three bedrooms upstairs and three bedrooms downstairs.
Each floor has one room with a queen bed, one room with a full and a bunk bed and a room
with two bunk beds. The upstairs has a full bathroom with two sinks and a tub/shower. The
downstairs has a half bath with laundry and two separate shower rooms. There is a full kitchen
upstairs as well as a large living room and dining area. There is a back deck with a grill on it for
your use.
We also have two cabins out by the Reflection Center. Both cabins are in the process of being
remodeled! Each cabin sleeps 20 people with 10 bunk beds. These bunk beds have new
mattresses! Each cabin is air conditioned with remote control thermostats. Each cabin has a
bathroom with two toilets and two sinks. We are currently putting two showers in each cabin
as well so that you no longer need to walk to the Bathhouse to shower! These will be done by March 1st.
What Should I bring?
The Guest House has all of the bedding supplied.
You may need to bring an extra blanket if there are some in your group who like it cold at night! The Guest House also has a fully stocked kitchen.
If you are staying in the cabins, we have new mattresses with new mattress covers, but you will
need to bring your bedding.
We supply toilet paper but you will want to bring the rest of your toiletries.
You will want to bring work clothes that can get dirty! Some jobs can be muddy depending on
the time of year.
We supply water on the job-site each day as well as a cooler filled with ice.
We have coffee pots and filters at the Guest House and at each Cabin. You will want to bring
your own coffee! Everyone has their own favorite.
We do not have lawn chairs, so if you want to sit outside you may want to bring one. We do
have benches around the fire pit.
TOOLS:
We have a lot of tools, but if you have your own and have room to pack them it is
always a good idea to bring some. Especially the following:
-drills
-impacts with bits
-circular saw (one per group is enough)
-hammer
-tape measure
-tool pouch
-gloves
-safety glasses
We will provide the rest!
What is our schedule for the week?
Most groups arrive either Saturday afternoon or Sunday.
If you arrive on Saturday we have a church on campus, Annville Community Church, which starts at 10:30. We invite you to join us in a joyful time of worship with Pastor Jason preaching!
On Sunday afternoon Chad will give you a tour of campus, sharing some history and explaining the ministry a little more, as well as the vision we have for the future!
We don’t provide meals until breakfast on Monday morning, but there is a pizza place next door and a restaurant just down the road. There is also a grill both at the Guest House and the Reflection Center for your use.
Each day begins with breakfast and devotions at 8:00am in the Reflection Center. After
breakfast you will be provided with everything you need to make sack lunches to take with you
to the job-site. You will go to the job-site (or wherever you may be serving) at 9:00am and
return to campus around 4:00pm.
Dinner is served in the Reflection Center at 5:30. After dinner you have free time for the rest of the night. At least two nights each week our pool is reserved for your use. The other nights are Public swim but you may join them as well. The pond is reserved for your use while you are here. There is frisbee golf and plenty of places to walk as well! Many groups drive to Flat Lick Falls, about a 15 minute drive. This is a beautiful place with a swimming hole and walking trails as well. We also have an indoor gymnasium that is air conditioned. There is a basketball court as well as a volleyball net that you may use.
